Maple Leaf in My Eyes

“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”(Confucius)
Teaching is my profession and my enduring passion. From a young age, I knew I wanted to be an educator. I am a lifelong learner and enjoy spreading my enthusiasm for education to children. Throughout my teaching career, I have taught various levels at school but always been interested in teaching preschool and elementary sectors. Little children's happy attitude, laughter, and pure curiosity inspire me to become a better educator.

All the past years of my teaching experience were stepping stones that had a significant impact on my professional growth. My previous employment in Maron Carey International kindergarten allowed me to gain excellent skills in teaching young learners, which became a strong basis for my instructional competency. All the skills I have learned there qualified me to join Maple Leaf Educational Systems where I am continuing to learn and grow as a professional.
I have started my journey, as an ESL teacher with Yiwu ML in February 2016. Life in Maple Leaf is genuinely colorful and fun with various fantastic events for students and teachers. Every day there is something unique to attend, such as English Day, Speech contest, Culture festival and so on. In particular, Morning Exercise Break is one of the favorites of all students, when they can relax and enjoy fresh air outdoors. During this activity, foreign teachers lead children to dance and sing in English, and it adds up lots of fun to the everyday routine of our school. Even after returning to the classrooms, students keep singing and dancing. They love it!
The atmosphere at the school is so amiable and warm that suddenly you start to feel the deep meaning of “One team, one goal” motto is not just words, but something real! Most of my colleagues are amazing people, who encourage me, teach me and remind me to become a better person. Also, I had a chance to visit many other campuses of Maple Leaf, in Dalian, Wuhan, Huzhou, Pinghu and all of them stand out in community with graceful construction structure, beautiful design, and an elegant clock tower, catching everyone's eye! I have made friends with many colleagues from different campuses, which allows sharing opinions and experiences.
The motto of Maple Leaf “Presenting a world of opportunity” represents a vision and a philosophy of the educational institution. The company opens doors of the world's top prestigious universities for its students to pursue their further studies. It strives to provide the best quality of education to the students by training teachers and supporting them to enhance their professional knowledge through various programs. Maple Leaf gave me a valuable opportunity to join MA in Educational Leadership and Management Program of Royal Roads University. This program opened a whole new world of knowledge, helped me to find all the missing pieces of my professional competence as an educator, and taught me to look at the educational system from different perspectives. I recently successfully obtained Master's Degree from RRU that gives me feelings of gratitude and contentment, inspiring me to do my best to contribute for the future development of Maple Leaf!
Teaching in Maple Leaf is an excellent experience because of the diversity of students, a vibrant teaching community, and the school resources. Students of different backgrounds, races, and cultures enrich the learning that happens within the classroom. I am honored and humbled by what my students have taught me about their lives and culture.
Every day, I learn something new about China and Chinese culture that makes my life here extraordinary! I find great joy in teaching kids, helping them to learn and grow, and I believe, that I am on the right path and blesses to contribute for the future success of these little angels! I genuinely enjoy being a teacher, and I love my students. 枫叶百人故事
